Week ending Jan. 02, 2010 the US Department of Defense released the names of 3 military personnel who died, while serving in the United States armed forces.

Welcome viewers. These weekly episodes pay tribute to brave men and women who served our country and paid the ultimate price while supporting our nation’s wars. We focus on the warrior as a human whose lives have impacted a family, friends, and neighbors around our world. Your respectful comments are welcomed and serve as memorial tributes to our fallen soldiers. Political opinions and debates are best suited elsewhere.

Staff Sgt. David H. Gutierrez, 35, of San Francisco, Ca., 2nd Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment, 5th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Wash.
Spc. Jason M. Johnston, 24, of Albion, N.Y., 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.
Staff Sgt. Ronald J. Spino, 45, of Waterbury, Conn., 274th Forward Surgical Team, 44th Medical Command, Fort Bragg, N.C.
