Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery Memorial Day Ceremony 2010
Dallas, TX (June 3, 2010) on a sunny and warm day thousands gathered to pay tribute to veterans who have died in combat and in combat support operations at the DFW National Cemetery.
There was a band playing patriotic songs, a choir, military honor guards, fighter jet fly over, bag piper and concluded with a 21-volley salute.
The keynote speaker was the vice commander of the 10th Air Force, Brigadier General Robert S. Arthur, who spoke of remembrance and gratitude towards our brave military personnel.
This year’s ceremonies included roses being placed in a chair as the names of the fallen were read aloud. Afterward family members that were present collected the roses while the remainder was placed in the lake.
