PGR and USFallen actions were sad and pathetic according to Toll Roads News
USFallen.org received an editorial response from Toll Roads News regarding the handling of a fallen warrior. The bottom-line is he feels the PGR and USFallen.org actions are sad and pathetic for exposing OK Toll Authority’s lack of respect rather than protesting the war or the enemy.
SSG Shawn H. McNabb a life remembered and honored
Last October, we as a country, were suffering from many losses due to war. On Oct. 26, last year I woke up to learn a helicopter crashed in Iraq and claimed the lives of 7 Army soldiers. One of those soldiers was SSG Shawn Henry McNabb, 24, of Terrell, TX.
SSG Carlos A. Benitez (KIA) – Memorial Tribute Oct. 2010
On Oct. 14, 2010 3 soldiers were killed after being attacked by insurgents in Afghanistan including SSG Carlos Benitez. With a wife and two children living in Colorado and a mother with two siblings living in Dallas, the arrangements for SSG Carlos Benitez’s return were chaotic.

WWII MIA Army Air Forces 2nd Lt. Arthur F. Parkhurst, laid to rest with full military honors
The remains of Army Air Forces 2nd Lt. Arthur F. Parkhurst, of Evansville, Ind., were returned to his family for a burial with full military honors on Oct. 16 in Dayton, Ohio, the Pentagon’s Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office said in a release.
Steven Barber’s, Return To Tarawa: sequel is in post production
Recently, we were introduced to Steven C. Barber who produced a modern day documentary, as he followed, World War II combat veteran Leon Cooper, who embarks on what he considers his final mission – to preserve the hallowed ground of one of World War II’s deadliest battlefields at Red Beach on Tarawa Island. We consider Leon Cooper’s action an example of doing the right thing.

Fallen warrior’s funeral procession denied free access on toll roads in Oklahoma
Considering this young warrior has paid the ultimate price you would think his funeral procession would be allowed access free of charge. To our shock and horror, the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, after repeated requests for an exception, has informed the family they must pay the toll fees.
US Army First Sgt. David H. McNerny, (MOH) dies at age 79
(Oct. 12, 2010) Houston, Texas. McNerney was born on June 2, 1931, in Lowell, Massachusetts, died Oct. 10, 2010. His father was a decorated World War I veteran, having received the Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star, and two Purple Hearts. Two of his siblings served in World War II and a third was a fighter pilot in Vietnam.
