Pfc. Cody A. Board KIA Homecoming Oct 14, 2010

Pfc. Cody A. Board
McKinney, TX (Oct. 14, 2010) at 4:00PM and as family, friends, Patriot Guard Riders, 1st Cavalry, and the southern comfort of a appreciative community welcomed their hero home- Pfc. Cody A. Board.
A charted flight from Dover, with the flagged draped casket containing the remains of their loved one, made its final decent on McKinney’s Regional Airport, on run-way 335.
The flight landed ever so gently and glided its way to end and returned to the tarmac. A large flag hoisted on two large fire department ladder trucks marked the final disembarkation point.
The door opened slowly and the Army escort climbed down first and stood by, as the pilot and co-pilot unloaded their precious cargo.
Service-members from the 1st Cavalry served as honor guards pall bearers and in a solemn ceremony renders honors and conducted a dignified transfer of a fallen comrade. They marched from the plane to the hearse awaiting to transport Cody to the funeral home.
This video highlights the dignified transfer from the plane to the funeral home.
