SSGT Omar Aceves, 30, KIA, Jan. 17, 2011 is returning home to N. Texas’ DFW Airport on Thursday morning. Staff Sergeant Omar Aceves is survived by his wife, 6 children, his mother and father, and two brothers and two sisters.
The family of Pvt. Austin G Staggs contacted us earlier today to advise us of their trip to Dover AFB to witness the dignified transfer. They also confirmed he would be coming home to North Texas for burial. The 19-year-old grew up in Weatherford and attended high school there. He graduated from a private school and then joined the Army.
Pvt. Devon Harris’ mother Sorainya Harris, brother and twin sister will face Christmas this year without their loved one, who was killed late last week. The 24-year-old Army private had been in Afghanistan only a month when a rocket-propelled grenade killed him.
