Snowball Express 2009 – Welcome to Dallas

Posted on 12 December 2009 by Jerry Castillo

Dec. 9, 2009 Dallas, TX The third annual Snowball Express arrived at DFW National Airport on chartered planes. SnowballExpress.org is a charity for children and family survivors of our military fallen post 9/11. This year Dallas is honored to be the host city and USFallen.org is lucky enough to be based here as well.
This is the first of a three part mini-web-series highlighting the familys fun times, while visiting north Texas.
We begin with Snowball the PGR teddy bear guarding the motorcycles that are to escort the convoy of buses from DFW airport to downtown Dallas. The mission code name is Snowball Express4.
As the families departed the terminals they immediately boarded their buses. Members of the military and veteran groups volunteered to ensure all the luggage was loaded and no one left behind. Snowball the PGR teddy bear gave the orders to saddle up. The riders mount their motorcycles and headed south to the exit and then eastbound to Dallas.
Snowball the PGR teddy bear watched the rear of the lead escort team as they made their way on their 27 mile journey. As rush-hour traffic began Snowball ordered the escort to go code BLUE. The traffic seems to give way as the convoy continued into the city central district. Finally, they arrived to the host hotel. Snowball the PGR teddy bear ordered the escort to dismount and help with luggage, while he guarded the motorcycles.
Meanwhile, some of the children asked if they could sit on the motorcycles. Snowball the PGR teddy bear agreed to allow the children on the motorcycles. As the kids would get on the motorcycles they each had big smiles and their first happy memories in Dallas.
Snowball the PGR teddy bear then ordered the escort to mount up and move out for the next convoy. The PGR could be heard driving off into the sunset.
