June 18, 2010 (Dallas, TX), at approximately 1130 hours a charter plane landed at Dallas Love Field with the cremains of Sgt. Zachary J. Walters. As the plane parked and shut down his family was escorted out to the tarmac. An honor guard detail from the 2nd Battalion, 14th Marines Regiment conducted a dignified transfer ceremony from the plane to a waiting hearse.
