Army Capt. Paul W. Peña – Full Military Honors

January 29, 2010 San Antonio, TX.

Paul W. Peña, 27, was Kill-In-Action on January 19, 2010, while on patrol in Arghandab River Valley, Afghanistan.

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. He posthumously awarded a Purple Heart.

He was laid to rest in peace with full military honors at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Pena graduated in 2000 from San Marcos Baptist Academy and was a member of Junior ROTC. Pena was commissioned upon graduation from the West Point, U.S. Military Academy in 2004 and attended Airborne and Ranger school.
