I am Robin Hefner and this is my son. This is Shawn’s story that was written by me to honor him and his fellow marines that has taken us in as family as we have also taken them into ours. Thank you to all our military that honor those that fights for our freedom and vow to never forget.

September 11, 2001, also known as 911 which is coincidently, the phone number for emergency assistance, marked the beginning of the war on America’s patriots. This poem should serve as a reminder of what America’s patriots are and how they win their battles against crusaders of terror and hate.
Remains of Korean War MIA, USA Sgt. Charles P. Whitler, Identified
The Department of Defense POW/Missing Personnel Office announced that the remains of a U.S. serviceman, missing in action from the Korean War, have been identified and returned to his family for burial with full military honors. United States Army Sgt. Charles P. Whitler will be buried Sept. 2 in his hometown of Cloverport, Ky.
